Rifugio Capanna Passo Valles

Located directly on Passo Valles, on the border between Trentino and Veneto, Capanna Passo Valles combines the character of a historic mountain refuge with the comfort of a small alpine hotel. Its position between the Paneveggio area, Falcade and the northern Pale di San Martino makes it a natural stopping point for hikers crossing this part of the Dolomites.

The Cemin family opened the Capanna in 1933, when only a handful of cars crossed the pass each day, and the refuge is now managed by the family's third generation. That long family tradition is still reflected in the kitchen, where recipes such as wood-fire polenta and homemade strudel sit alongside dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients from local producers. Comfortable alpine-style rooms, hot showers and a panoramic terrace make Capanna Passo Valles a particularly relaxing stop after a day on the trail.
