The Rifugio Passo Santner (Santerpass hut) is located in one of the most beautiful destinations of South Tyrol, the Dolomites, which belong to the famous UNESCO world heritage.
The location of Rifugio Passo Santner is well-known for its stunning landscape and its breathtaking views, inbetween the Eggental, the Vajolettal and the Fassa valley.
The hut was built in 1956 at an altitude of 2,734 meters above the sea, directly at the Santner Pass on whose peak it proudly enthrones. Above all, the view presents one the most beautiful sights nearby and far off: from the Latemar group to the Weiss- and Schwarzhorn peaks, further to the Brenta group, the Ortler and finally the Swiss- and Austrian Alps.
The hut has been under reconstruction since spring 2022 and opened the doors of the fully renovate new building in summer 2023 for mountaineers from all over the world.
