Rifugio Città di Carpi
Perched at 2,110 metres at Forcella Maraia, Rifugio Città di Carpi is a small and welcoming mountain hut surrounded by the spectacular Cadini di Misurina. With just 22 beds and wide views towards Sorapiss, Marmarole and Cristallo, it offers a wonderfully peaceful Dolomites atmosphere.
Set at 2,110 metres at Forcella Maraia, Rifugio Città di Carpi enjoys a beautiful position on the southern side of the Cadini di Misurina. Green alpine slopes surround the hut while the jagged Cadini rise dramatically behind it, with wide views opening towards the Marmarole, Sorapiss, Cristallo and other great peaks of the eastern Dolomites.
The rifugio was built by the CAI section of Carpi between 1969 and 1970 and has been run by the Molin family since 1992. Smaller and more intimate than many Dolomites huts, it offers just 22 beds in five rooms, creating a warm and personal mountain atmosphere. Simple mountain dishes, a panoramic terrace and its peaceful position make it a wonderful place to slow down after a day on the trail.
While nearby Tre Cime attracts visitors from around the world, Città di Carpi reveals a quieter side of this spectacular area — with the distinctive towers of the Cadini right outside the door.
