Rifugio Passo Cereda

Situated at 1,369 m at Passo Cereda, Rifugio Cereda offers a comfortable and welcoming stop between the Pale di San Martino and the mountains of the southern Dolomites. Surrounded by forests and peaceful mountain scenery, its location directly on the Alta Via 2 makes it an important overnight stop for hikers continuing towards the wilder southern stages of the route.

Compared with a traditional high-altitude rifugio, Cereda offers a little more comfort, with a choice of standard and superior rooms as well as dormitory accommodation. Food is an important part of the experience: the restaurant specialises in traditional Trentino cuisine, using many ingredients sourced directly from the family's own farm, while breakfast includes homemade bread, cakes and jams alongside local products. It's a particularly pleasant place to recharge before continuing deeper into the mountains.
