Rifugio Bergamo
Located at 2,165 m in the quiet Grasleiten Valley beneath the Rosengarten peaks, Rifugio Bergamo offers an authentic and peaceful high-alpine experience surrounded by dramatic Dolomites scenery.
Standing at 2,165 m in the remote Grasleiten Valley beneath the majestic peaks of the Rosengarten/Catinaccio group, Rifugio Bergamo (Grasleitenhütte) is one of the most authentic and atmospheric mountain huts in the Dolomites. Surrounded by dramatic limestone walls, alpine meadows, and rugged high-mountain scenery, the hut offers a true feeling of immersion in the heart of the UNESCO Dolomites. Originally built in 1887, it is one of the oldest refuges in the Rosengarten area and today combines historic alpine character with warm South Tyrolean hospitality. A key stop on several classic hut-to-hut routes, Rifugio Bergamo is especially appreciated for its peaceful location away from the busier trails, traditional cuisine, and spectacular evening light on the surrounding peaks of Cima Valbona and the Torri del Principe. Included in many Self Guided Dolomites itineraries, it is a place where hikers can slow down, disconnect, and experience the raw beauty and timeless atmosphere of the Dolomites.
